The consistency and distinctiveness of the Netherlands Liberation Festivals had declined over time. We were asked to redesign the festivals’ identity and branding. Through workshops, a plan was made to modernize the contents and symbolism, and to sharpen the focus of the festivals, so that the celebration of liberation once again distinguishes these festivals from other cultural festivals in the Netherlands.
The Dutch Liberation Festivals decided to reinstate their Torch logo. Their visual identity was redesigned and modified to make a better fit with today’s visual culture. It is more distinctive and focused on young people.
